UEFA Champions League Final: City, Chelsea Divide Nigerians

It will be a mother of all slugfest when Manchester City take on Chelsea in the final of UEFA Champions League in Porto on Saturday.

While the battle will rage on the pitch tomorrow night, Nigerians have been sharing banters according to their club loyalty.

Many fans of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and other clubs are rooting for City while supporters of Chelsea are rooting for their club.

Just like the past matches, Nigerians threw their support for Leicester City to win the FA Cup against Chelsea and also in the Europa League for Villareal against Manchester United.

It is hoped that either way, Nigerians win as a win for City means the towns will be quiet as Chelsea supporters have been branded as “noisy”.

City have not won the UEFA Champions League title while their manager Pep Guardiola has won twice at Barcelona.

Chelsea won their only trophy in 2012 inspired by legendary Didier Drogba.
