Top Four Finish Hots Up in EPL

Liverpool revived their flailing season at Arsenal as they outclassed the hosts to boost their top four finish hopes on Saturday night.

It was a goalless encounter in the first half but Liverpool clearly dominated a lethargic Arsenal side and got rewarded in the second half with well-taken goals.

Sunbstitute Diogo Jota scored a brace while Mohammed Salah also scored as Liverpool emerged victorious. Arsenal’s only hope for European football next season is to win the Europa League.

West Ham moved to top four after beating Wolves 3-2 at the Molineux. Jesse Lingard continued his fine form for West Ham with a goal and an assist. He has now scored six and made three assists since he joined in January from Manchester United.

Manchester City confirmed their championship form by beating Leicester City 2-0 while West Brom had the surprise result of the weekend by thrashing CXhelsea 5-2 at Stamford Bridge.

That was the first loss for Chelsea under German coach Thomas Tuchel who had gone 12 matches unbeaten.

Fulham continued their relegation dog fight with a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa who rallied late despite going down earlier in the game.

Southampton also rallied from two goals down to defeat Burnley 3-2 to boost their fight for safety.

Newcastle United scored a late equaliser as they forced Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-2 draw while Manchester United came from a goal down to defeat Brighton 2-1.

Everton blew their one goal lead to end up 1-1 against Crystal Palace.
