Rivers Utd Complete Double Over Enyimba FC

Rivers United completed a league double over Enyimba FC after a 2-0 win at the Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium on Monday and boosted their chances of winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title this season.
Ishaq Rafiu scored the first to increase his tally to 12 goals this season while Chiamaka Madu increased the tally as both scored in the first half to silence the People’s Elephant at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
Rivers United won the reverse fixture in Aba 1-0 to complete a rare double over the Finidi George led side.
Enyimba came into the game buoyed by their triumph over Enugu Rangers, while Rivers United were on an 11-game unbeaten streak.

This result leaves the Aba club in ninth position on the table, ahead of their next fixture against Kano Pillars on April 20.
With the victory, Rivers United extended their lead to eight points after 23 matches.
They play Sunshine Stars next at the Ondo State Sports Complex.
