Okpotu, Tunisian League Hot Shot Sparks Transfer Scramble
Nigerian international Anthony Okpotu is in the midst of a transfer tussle among clubs after emerging as the top scorer in the Tunisian League last season that ended weekend.
The former Lobi Stars ace netted 13 goals in 19 games for US Monastir to lead the modest side to CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history.
His goalscoring prowess has not gone unnoticed by other clubs.
Esperance, Etoile du Sahel and Club Africain are all in for the stocky forward and that’s if he will choose to remain in the North African country that has launched a good number of Nigerian players into Europe.
A move back to Europe is also on the cards for him, but most certainly it will not be to Albania, where he was loaned to by Moroccan side Diffa Hassani El Jadidi.
Meanwhile, Anderson Esiti is believed to be close to joining the Chinese league from Greece but wants more money. according to reports.
Also, David Okereke has joined the legion of sportsmen and women to have contracted the Covid-19 as confirmed by his club Club Bruges of Belgium.
