EPL Returns After Winter Break

The English Premier League returns tonight with three matches across England,

Newcastle United vs Everton

Newcastle’s new signings Bruno Guimaraes and Matt Targett are available but Dan Burn is a doubt with a slight toe issue.

Paul Dummett has not been able to train, while Matt Ritchie, Federico Fernandez and Callum Wilson remain out.

Everton welcome back Dominic Calvert-Lewin after a minor injury.

Dele Alli, Anwar El Ghazi and Donny van de Beek could make their debuts, but Fabian Delph, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ben Godfrey are absent.

West Ham vs Watford

West Ham’s Michail Antonio returns to the squad having missed the FA Cup game with Kidderminster due to a late arrival back from international duty.

Arthur Masuaku and Manuel Lanzini are both absent due to injury.

Watford have top scorer Emmanuel Dennis available again after his one-match suspension.

Peter Etebo is nearing a return, but Nicolas Nkoulou is out and Ismaila Sarr is not yet back after Senegal’s success in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

Burnley vs Manchester United

Burnley will assess Charlie Taylor, who has been nursing a foot injury.

Johan Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes remain out, but Josh Brownhill is back after a ban.

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are expected to overcome the knocks they suffered against Middlesbrough.

They have doubts over Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly, but Fred and Alex Telles definitely miss out having tested positive for Covid-19.

Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard are available again.
