Liverpool left it late like penultimate weekend to put two past Aston Villa as their unbeaten run continues. The Reds had to dig in as they trailed for almost 90 minutes against the home side. But how do you defend against Liverpool? If Mohammed Salah did not turn up, Firmino will or Sadio Mane as he did on Saturday. The Senegal international produced a man-of- the match performance with two outstanding strikes. The first was a delicious cross for right-back Andy Robertson to equalize on 88th minute while he nodded from a corner kick for the winner 94th minute.

At the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City also fell behind and had a mighty battle to level scores against Southampton and scored a winner later too.

Arsenal’s woes continued forcing Wolverhampton Wanderers to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates to put more pressure on under fire Unai Emery. The visitors actually played better as Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santos are now being touted to replace the Spaniard if the results fail to improve.

Newcastle picked valuable three away points at the expense of West Ham United. This medium had predicted an away win for the visitors and were cruising  3-0 at some point in the match before West Ham fought back to score twice. Steve Bruce’s side now waking up from slumber after a hard start in the season.

Sheffield United won 3-0 against Burnley as Brighton and Hove Albion were 2-0 better than Norwich.

The recent good run of Manchester United was halted by a determined AFC Bournemouth who won 1-0.

In the late Saturday kick off, Chelsea saw off Watford  2-1 with Tammy Abraham on the scoresheet.

Andre Gomes’ horror injury from a Son tackle overshadowed the match between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur that ended 1-1 while Leicester City saw off Crystal Palace 2-0 away from home.
