Enyimba FC Unveil Finidi George

Enyimba FC of Aba have unveiled former Super Eagles winger, Findi George after signing him on a two-year deal.

George, 50, replaces Fatai Osho, whose contract was not renewed by the Aba giants.

The former Super Eagles winger played for Sharks FC, Calabar Rovers, Ajax Amsterdam, Real Betis, Real Marlloca and Ipswich in his glittering career.

He joined Ajax from Sharks FC in 1993 and won the UEFA Champions League in 1995 and lost in the final a year later.

Born in 1971 in Port Harcourt, George grew up in Port Harcourt township with his sailor father and trader mother.

He represented Rivers State at the National Sports Festival hosted by the state and won the football gold medal where he was spotted by a coach.

Enyimba FC won the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004 and will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.
