Mikel Arteta has signed a new deal to keep him at Arsenal until 2025.
The club announced on Friday that the 47-year- old has penned a deal to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium alongside his assistant, Jonas Eldevall.
Arteta, a former Arsenal captain, replaced Unai Emery in December 2019 and won the FA Cup and the Community Shield at the end of the season in 2020.
The player as captain lifted the FA Cup in 2014 after which he retired.
He was on Manchester City bench as part of the coaching crew before being snapped up. He was initially considered when Arsene Wenger left but was deemed too inexperienced for the role.
He was a product of the famous La Masia Academy belonging to FC Barcelona.
