Arsenal Rebuilding with Fresh Signings
Perhaps it was the pressure by the fans that got him, but Stan Kroenke is willing to splash the cash this summer as two new players are already in the kitty and one waiting on the wings.
Left back Nuno Tavares from Benfica was unveiled last week and was already in the thick of action against Rangers in a pre-season friendly match, where he scored. A deal for defender Ben White from Brighton has also been agreed and the England international is expected to resume after his holiday in a deal worth about 50m pounds.
Just today, Arsenal have unveiled Anderlecht midfielder Sambi, Lokonga, 21. on a long-term deal. These players are young and fit into the problematic areas for the Gunners.
Tavares is 21 and will rival Kieran Tierney for the left back position. He’s strong and can withstand the rigours of the EPL. Tierney is injury prone.
Lokonga is equally 21 and will partner Thomas Partey in the midfield with Granit Xhaka expected to leave.
Ben White is a central defender and is expected to add steel to that department.
Arsenal are also looking to bolster their attack with Chelsea reject Tammy Abraham on the radar. Houssem Aouar and some other players have been linked to the side.
Meanwhile. Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba have completed loan moves to Marseille in the French league. Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock could go on loan with Newcastle United keen on the latter who had a succesful loan spell when he joined in the winter.
